As a seasoned U.S. diplomat and member of the Senior Foreign Service, Doug has served as the top U.S. commercial advisor in multiple U.S. embassies across the Middle East, North Africa, Australia, and the United States. Doug is credited for delivering historic FDI wins such as the $5 billion Macquarie investment into U.S. infrastructure—the largest in U.S. Commercial Service history. As Director of the San Francisco office, he mobilized over 250 firms to participate in the APEC Summit, organized the Rebuild Ukraine Forum, and co-authored the FDI Tech Guide to support international startups in Silicon Valley. His leadership has enabled companies to enter foreign markets, secure capital, and build durable global partnerships.
